For those of you wondering, Project Exploit is a "project" that our best members are working on to give us free internet, as if we had a data plan, for free.  Where we could watch YouTube and everything!

I have listed the variables for our researchers to refer to.  That way they can say variable1 and everyone else knows which variable they are talking about.  I want all our people to post possible solutions, and outcomes.  That way we know what doesn't work, until we find something that does.

Our goal is to route the  browser to completely bypass T-Mobile servers, and route it through a different proxy server.  This is . . . Project Exploit!

Im very close to something.  I get some strange results.  I don't know if it will charge, but I'd appreciate it if someone would check it out.  Its the closest i've been and it just might be what i've been looking for.

It's still worth a shot. Give this kid a chance, BETOQ. I'd be willing to bet you were optimistic about free internet as well, but low and behold (no pun intended), we have it. If you're gonna be a pessimist, though, maybe you should just leave the topic.

Chill. BETOQ was being a bit (like I said earlier) pessimistic, but it's not really worth arguing about. Try and keep everything positive, or keep it to yourself.

If you're talking about your previous post it's still there.  If you're talking about a recent one, I have no idea but if it was deleted it was for a good reason.  Now let's all get back on topic.

TMobileX Owner

This will do nothing, I'm afraid. Changing the communication addresses between client and server will do nothing except increase/decrease ping and (if you get the right one) give you full HTML rather than WAP if you have a data plan (which has already been done).

Proxies work because they do what we want them to do at the uppermost level. By this, I mean that we barely change anything. The lowermost level would be exploiting security checks when connecting to a T-Mobile server and in result would allow you to bypass things such as the does-he-have-a-data-plan check. This cannot be done.

All proxies today do is, well, function as a normal PHP proxy with occasional modifications to smooth out the process for mobile phones. The reason they are not blocked by T-Mobile is because they have "tmobile" in the URL. I know this because, if you did or did not know, I solely own TMobileX.

The only thing I am slightly worried about now is how the current 'free pages' such as CNN  and Weather.com are being blocked one-by-one and redirect to a page asking the user to continue with a "Pay per MB" plan. TMobileX is unaffected as of right now and has been unaffected for quite a while, which most likely means the most popular KNOWN free pages are being changed. I guess T-Mobile is noticing their loss in profit due to web surfers without data plans. We'll just have to see how that turns out.

Again, sorry for being such a downer. I just don't want people to go out there and try to do things that are impossible and waste so much time doing them; I, for one, speak from experience.

All in all, it is your decision. Thus, good luck in whatever you choose to do!  Smiley

So that's why I haven't been able to access CNN! I've had to use the proxy to get to it for the past week or so. I'm glad that I can still access Sports Illustrated, though. What Tele says makes sense, but I still think that there might be something out there that could work. I dunno.

Huh. I always put "tmobile." in the beginning of it because that was the default bookmark and it always worked. I guess now they changed it? I'm wondering howcome this site doesn't need tmobile in its address. Tele, any ideas?
