if not getting to your phone before incoming call hits voice mail:

**61*18056377243**enter amount between 5-30 seconds#SEND/CALL button
I found out that 30 makes 6 rings and 15 doesn't change standard.

.... don't flame if it was posted... i did search twice.

its just making it ring longer so apposed to just letting it ring 15 seconds you can make it ring up to twice as long

I tried both the *#61 and **61 codes to increase the number of rings of my phone, can't quite remember which one worked but it did work, but somehow when someone calls me and i'm not able to answer, the caller is no longer forwarded to my voicemailbox where they could lave me a message. They get a message saying "the number is inactive" or "the number is not in service".

To correct this, I went to my phone's Settings>Call Settings>Call Forwarding and selected Cancel All (to reset any call forwarding options I have). Then to increase the number of rings, I went to the No Reply option (it will detect the current setting) where you could change the Waiting Time from 5 sec to 30 sec (the default is 15 sec, set mine to 25 sec). The screen will refresh and show the waiting time you selected.

After doing this, I got ample time to answer my phone and the voicemail worked just fine.

So, to confirm, this is where you go to increase the length of the ringer?
Settings>Call Settings>Call Forwarding>No Reply>Waiting Time
You don't need to go into the internals or anything, you can just change this setting?
