I clicked on the little pencil in the top right corner of my screen while in the create message app and it switched from t9 pad to handwriting recognition.

Since this phone works with a stylus, the handset recognition software might come in handy for stylus aficianados.

Yeah! Too bad they didnt include one with the phone. I know, I know. You can always go buy a stylus pen but then it doesnt just slip right into the phone to hide away when ur not using it.

One has to love this feature simply for the topological aspects.  With so many possibilities, how does the programing decipher the letters?  It cannot be a simple homology/homotopy argument, as it can tell the difference from an unclosed o, and a u.  There must be some issues with curvature, size ratios, that help determine the proper letter.

Definitely slow at first, but with practice, I am becoming very fast at this.  I am not sure if it is learning my handwriting, or I am learning what it wants, but something is syncing.

I also agree. Its cool and all. but i never use it. I bought the phone for the sideways texting(i know the name of it, just dont know correct spelling). this has absolutly no purpose unless it has a styluss.

I think everyone is dismissing this way to early.  There's alot of apps still to be created for the Behold.  I'm sure this feature will come in handy down the road a little ways.

Same here... I'm getting bored pretty fast as well.  I don't know if it is because I am not as technology advanced as some others on here so I don't know the full potential or how to access it or because nothing is out for it yet.  Either way... something needs to happen fast!
