DAmn thanks for the post, the browser is amazingly fast; question? the Opera you made is free like no need for a data plan, or will i be charged later.

Haha, probably. Thanks a ton for this, gigsniper. I think I speak for the entire forum when I say we all appreciate it (just like we all appreciate TeleNubby's TMoX). If you don't mind my asking, why do you insist on turning its capability on and off?

I appreciate Telenubby's work and I don't want to be the one who just killed his work. So I want to keep mine lower then his work. You know, its him that got me started into proxies.

It's definitely a great application and you've done a great job in designing. With all due respect, however, I think I like TMoX better. I'm just more used to the browser, and opening it up and hitting TMoX in the bookmarks bar. Force of habit.

@BETOQ Cheesy
Opera Mini 4.2 does allow you to use the phone's native keyboard. I played around with it for a few minutes and figured it out. What you do is touch the website url bar and scroll down to the very bottom of your history and touch Insert symbol...
The blue screen will pop up and you just touch it again and it'll take you straight to the phone's keyboard.
But I recommend Opera Mini 5 because, obviously, it's updated to be better than Opera Mini 4.2

i am able to get to myspace perfectly and for some reason for instance when i go to myspace or a diff site most sitees are in english but some like myspace give me a diff kind of language of some sort i cant tell . but other than that its great. dont worry ive figured out on some sites how to make into english . but overall a great opera mini and please dont take it off. im loving it and getting the hang of it. i think i speak for most of the people here.

Again, I personally prefer TMoX, but I will offer some feedback to help out the rest of the community.

I started out with Opera 5, but didn't like it (I don't remember why) and so I deleted it.

Opera 4.2 is pretty nice. It doesn't take too long to load up and has a lot of neat features that the default browser does not, particularly the ability to view the recent history (and then there is also the built-in Google search bar). I'm not too fond of the fact that you have to constantly hit that blue screen before being able to type using the phone's keyboard, mainly because I'm lazy and think of it as a slight hassle in comparison to the default browser. One last issue I have is the fact that web pages aside from Google and similar things open up as a shrunk page, which you have to zoom in in order to read. All-in-all, it is nice, but not for me.

ive been using the opera mini 5 for a few days so now i can give a quality review
i think its great i can minimize the browser to check messages anf be able to go back to exactly where i was. my main issues is that the keyboard is kind of sluggish so i prefer to type with the native keyboard. fortunately there is a setting for that. Also when i input text somewhere like facebook it like reloads the whole page which is especially irritating on facebook. so for general browsing i think opera is better but for things that you input text i prefer the proxy hands down.

i think 4.2 stops working once you install 5

Its all free its like Telenubby's proxy but this is built right in.

Yeah IDK why 4.2 stops when you install 5 and Yeah it does that to Facebook.

For me they both still work, lol. 4.2 and 5 are still very smooth, but like gigsniper said 4.2 is much faster in terms of speed.
