The best way I have figured out how to do it is to go into the settings menu and change the amount of shift from 2 to either 3 or 4. I set mine to 3 because it still sounds reasonable. I got the below code on this site a while back but I thought that I should change the individual volume levels but this is way easier and works WAAAAY!!!! better. Good luck.

I have had my behold for about six months now and i have been on here a few times to see what i can learn about tweeking my phone, so to say I'm not very good at this stuff. I tried to follow your instructions on how to turn up the speaker volume and i have set it to high and am afraid  of blowing the speaker. How, step by step do i get back in and change it a little lower?

if you do a master reset, it will erase everything on the phone right? so you would need to save pics and vids and anything else to the card

if you have anything like contacts, music, pix, etc then you need to copy them to your mem card and remove it, also after you copy ur contacts to ur sim card remove it. Then do the master reset so that way you dont loose anything important

thanks for the info, but my brother-in-law who is a computer wiz fixed it for me, he set it back to default. i did copy everything important to my memory card and did the master reset, but it didn't do anything but change the font back factory and the ring tone back to factory. thanks again for the info though.
