Broken USB Door Fix!!!

I'm an award winning model maker & my USB door cracked on my Behold as well. To fix it, I started to use a few extra strength industrial adhesives but started small first to keep from melting the material. Gorilla Glue does not work so don't waste your time or money on it. Krazy Glue does!

1. Simply put a small amount of glue on both parts (at the break) and rub as much off with a tooth pick as you can. Try not to get any on the thin plastic band holding the 2 parts together.

2. DO NOT CONNECT THE PARTS!!! Let the lightly saturated parts dry then lightly sand them using a very small grit sand paper commonly used for wet sanding such as 3M 600 (try not to grind too hard you want to sand the glue, not the parts).

3. Reapply Krazy Glue in the same manor also apply just a little to the plastic band. This time connect the parts & be sure no glue is on the sides. Hold in place for about 2 minutes, then close the door.

4. Let it set for about an hour and lightly sand the door even. Apply a small amount of oil or Vasaline to the area & it takes away the ashy white look forever.

*The trick is, the glue is sticking to a textured version of more glue not the slick surface of the cracked door. Using too much glue will result in a bulge and the door will close too tight or not at all. Take your time! Mine looks brand new and over 2 months, hasn't broken again. I still use my phone's door all the time without being cautious. The bond is amazingly strong!
