Can you put a mp3 file into the phone and then set that as the ringtone?

Yes. You can go into the music player and pull up the song and choose Set As or you can do it through your phonebook.

I don't believe so, but I've used www.myxer.com before to trim down to the part of the song I want for the ringtone.

I think you'll be happy with this phone. When I first got it, I thought it was pretty cool, but there wasn't that much to do with it (the usual, internet, mp3s, camera, etc). Now that I've looked around here and started downloading apps and games, I love it.

Check out the third party software and games sections. There a plenty of apps to sort through. I highly recommend the minimize hack and the full html hack. As far as apps go...Opera Mini with full touchscreen is awesome. I also like Blue Media and Twibble as well as Snaptu. On games...well, it just depends on what you like, but there are hundreds to choose from on these threads.

Yeah, but just to let you know, if you cut a ringtone, cut it down to 30 seconds cos thats how long a ringtone is.

I guess I will download some things but I did not get any features with the phone no internet, no texting. =[ But I already have an iPod Touch so it's okay.
