Is everyone's like this? I set a 'sound' as the ring tone but it's a actual message ring tone that I got online then transfer to my memory card. When I get a message the sound is so low you can't hear it but after like 3-4 seconds it gets louder. I don't like this though because it ruins the ring tone.

Did you try adjusting the volume? Or try downloading it from another source? Sometimes when downloading a ringtone, they sound good on the website, but when you save them on your PC. The quality sucks. So, try dl from another source.

Have you tried setting the tone to the Outdoor setting?  That helps a little bit.
