i see a lot of people using Zedge, but i prefer myxer.com all you have to do is register and free ringtones straight to your phone.

yeah but with this site you don't even need to register. All you do is choose your phone and you're all set to go - you can easily save it to your computer and transfer it to your phone later. But I'll check the other site out too.  Cool

honestly, I dont use any of these sites.  I just take my own mp3's, cut them to 30 seconds with an mp3 cutter, then send them to my phone through usb as a ringtone.  easiest and fastest way imo, and you get the 30 seconds which you really want

I have to agree with making my own.  I use audacity or Soundforge and just find the part of the song I want.  This is real helpful if you listen to music thats not mainstream or underground, plus it won't be censored or edited.

You can always go to funformobile.com from your phones browser and get ringtones if you don't want to take time to make one.

Nero makes it extremely easy to make ringtones, and the behold will recognize m4a (aac) files for ringtones.  Also, one can create text tones, though these must be mp3 (as far as I can tell so far).  Make an mp3 clip, then use TkFileExplorer to place the clip in the sounds folder.  From here, choose your preferred sound profile in settings, and you should be able to set your tone as the text tone.
