Hello, I have had my 2nd behold for about 2 weeks now, and I thought I'd share my likes and dislikes about the phone, and some-what form it into a review! Hope you like Wink

Lets start with the 5mp camera (auto focus)

When you hold down your camera button on the far right side of the phone, the camera feature will open. on the left and right, you will see a few other features and settings. On the left: Video, Mode, Timer, and Setup.
In video mode, you can capture videos and edit them! If you click on mode (while in video mode) you can take a normal video, and save it to your memory card. OR, you can click picture mail; which means after the video is done capturing, it will send automatically to a picture mail, it comes in handy alot Wink
Now the timer; the timer is normally for taking videos of yourself. You can set it to 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds or off. You can choose whichever you like, depending on how long you think it will take you to get infront of the phone Tongue
Now if you move on to setup; you can change your video resolution (auto set to 320x240) and an intersting feature, EFFECTS
if you tap effects you can chose for your video to be black&white, Sepia, Negative, and water color!
Black and white; i personally think it makes the video look better, but i perfer black and white pictures, than videos. Sepia is a little too brown for my taste, negative; the colors alter around when you turn the flash on, but other than that; its pretty cool  Grin and water color is just ugly purple..
But its always recommended to keep the settings at auto.
Now, while your still in setup, at the top you will see another tab. CLICK IT.
Here you can choose if you want audio (sound) in your video, where the video will be stored, and review (watch the video after you take it) and guidelines is annoying, don't even mess with it xD
Now if you exit setup, there are 4 more things on the right; flash, brightness, default destination, and videos.
I would personally recommend to keep flash off (unless your in the dark)
I think its kind of cool that you can change the brightness of the video(:
default destination; here you can chose where you want the video to go to. and videos is where you can just view your previous taken videos.
Lets move back to the camera (:
if you click mode, there are ALOT more modes than the video recorder.
you can use single(default) continuous (takes fast pictures) panorama is personally my favorite. You can take a very large picture. The camera will automatically connect all the pictures, no matching up pictures or anything! I personally find smile shot useless, and mosaic is another cool feature! click it, choose a design. Lets use the heart for an example. I'll take a picture and there will be a blue heart before i take the picture. then I an take a second picture, and it will appear in the heart! (cool, huh? Wink
Timer, same concept as the video. setup, Scene always comes in handy, you tap the kind of scene you want/ None for auto. Portrait for pictures of yourself Landsscape for nature shots (etc.) Night, for when your in the dark. Sports, for motion pictures. Sunset for when your in a sun-set area. Fawm, for when your outside, and its dawn Tongue
effects are the same as the videos.
If you click the second tab, you can change your shutter sounds, your default storage for photos taken. review (see the photo you take right after you take the photo) guidlines, again, ANNOYING.
When you exit setup, youll see other tools on the right.Brightness, default destination, and previous taken photos. Lets move onto messaging.

MESSAGING:
Click on menu>messaging.
Here you can create a new message, view your inbox, view or send emails, view IM conversations, view your outbox(messages youve sent)
Drafts(messages you hacent finishes),folders (you can move certain messages here), templates(for fast-messaging), message settings, delete by folder, and your memory status. LETS START FORM THE TOP
if you tap on create message and tap the screen, you will see that you have a t9 based keyboard. you can click done when your done typing, change your text mode, go to cymbols, and the EN button chanes your language.  Now, while your still in t9-based keyboard, at the top0right, you will see a pen CLICK IT, you can draw a letter, and the phone will type in the letter! It's a tad slow, but its still cool! Smiley now, rotate your phone to the left, and accelerometer will kick the phone into a landscape keyboard. t9 is still enabled here, which means it will try to make it to where you wont misspell anything. To the left of the A, is a button that brings you back into the t9-based keyboard, which i think is useless, ebcause you can just turn the phone if you want the t9-keyboard o.O lets go back to the messaging.
If you click inbox, you will see all your received messages. There is a create new, sort by, move, and delete. Click the back button, and lets check out email. Click add acount, choose your server, and login. Now, it will appear in your accounts when you click email, for easier access to your email. :] Here, you can obiivously send messages and such, but lets look at it more detailed :]
click on options, you will see read(reads the message you have highlighted), compose(make a new email), reply(reply's to the message you have highlighted) mark unread, delete view other folder, retreive mail, signature, click sugnature. You can type in anything you like. It will show up at the end of every email you send. click back, pereferences, and sign out. When you compose an email, it has the same keyboard as text messaging. Lets move onto IM?

IM (Instant-Messenger)
When you click the IM widget, you will see 4 popular IM servers.
AIM
ICQ
WINDOWS LIVE
AND YAHOO
Aim was upsetting, you had to go on your computer and move all your contacts to a mobile folder, same thing with yahoo.
Same keyboard as text messaging and email.
Lets move onto music Player.

MUSIC PLAYER;
here you can listen to songs that you have downloade from your PC, and you can even make them your ringtone! If you click settings, you will see that background playing is on. If it is on, that means you can roam around other areas of your phone, and still listen to your music!!

this is all i can do right now, ill add more later.

It is very upsetting. I'm actually upset with the phone in general. So, this is my "so long" message. I am getting rid of my behold and my account for this forum. Everyone here has been great though, but I am a sidekick girl at heart, and I can't help it! It's like a love that never dies... you try to move on, but your heart is somewhere else! LOL. That's the situation I'm in. With the phone, not my love life... Anyway, so what the sidekick doesn't have 3g. The so called 3g on the behold sucks, and im not paying 34.99 a month on a phone that frustrates me to no end for unltd internet and texting when I can get the same thing for 19.99 on a phone I love.  Wink I'm selling my behold on ebay and it is being bidded on as I type this message  Cheesy Tootles!

lolz I have both the Behold and Sidekick 08. The Sidekick 08 sucks so bad compared to the Behold. I was so disappointed when I got the Sidekick and then I noticed the Behold on the T-mobile site and instantly had to get it.

Now that I have my Behold, I'm selling the Sidekick for $200. I hate Sidekicks. Plus, I hear a lot of them break and I'm not paying $25 a month for a phone I dislike.

That is all.

I went from a flip LG, to a RAZR V3, to a Blackberry Curve 8320, and now the Samsung Behold.

*The LG had a lot of great features, it just didn't have the resolution and bit as newer phones.

*The RAZR was great but only problem is no QWERTY keyboard.

*The Blackberry Curve 8320 is by far the best phone I ever had before the Behold. Texting was so easy. Easier/faster than the Sidekick, Rant, and Rumor. The problem with other keyboards is the width. Your thumbs have to reach too far to type fast. The BB Curve 8320 was perfect for texting. Keyboard was small in length.
Only thing that sets this from the Behold is the fact that it didn't come with a camcorder, web browsing sucked, no GPS, and no YouTube. Plus it's not a touch screen.  Cool

--------Samsung Behold--------
This is the first touch screen I ever had. It took a while to get used to texting.

Pros: Touch screen! Full HTML Browser hack, great interface, plenty of features, GPS, 5mp cam, and the phone looks amazing.

Cons: Default T9 texting which can't be automatically disabled, can't change lock screen, can't make themes, freezes for a split second, touch screen sometimes doesn't detect your finger, doesn't come with stylus.

Overall: This is the best phone I ever had. 2nd being the BB Curve. YouTube, MySpace, AIM, and fun games. I love the fact it has GPS and a great-looking web experience.

As for the SideKick, I was going to get one instead of the Behold. I just couldn't stand the interface/menu. The trackball just wasn't fun.

I have to agree, the euphoria has worn off; the Behold is cool, but it's just a phone. I no longer even have a data plan on it. I don't do anything but calls and text on it.
