Is it possible to use mp3 tones off my SD card as a message/alert tone?

Either I'm blind or I don't know what I'm doing...

settings>sounds profiles>normal>message>alert tone

It doesn't give me the option of accessing my sd disc though. how do I upload them to my sounds folder

you need to create a sounds folder on your sd card and place your mp3's there. Connect phone to pc its much faster. mass storage of course

I have them saved as WMA....does it have to be MP3?

both will work but you have to put your wma's into another folder under sounds and name it music, then go thru the previous steps and look in the music file.

just connect the micro disk to your computer and drag and drop songs to it (i dont us the usb but you can do that too). then put it back in your phone. you go to menu; sound profiles, normal, then go to the drop down and press message; click on messsage alert tone; sounds; then look for the song you want to put as your text message alert. thats how i do it!
