I've had my Behold for about a month now, I ordered my Espresso and a Rose from 2 different sellers on eBay that had good reputation.
I received both on the same day, and the 1st thing I noticed was that my Espresso was in a generic Samsung box, whereas the Rose (for my lady) was in the original T-Mobile packaging. Hers came with a microSD, and mine didn't.
First issue I've come across with my phone is that there seems to be something wrong with earphone/headphone audio. The normal speaker for calls as well as speakerphone for calls & music/sounds appear to be fine, but in the first few times I tried using an earpiece for hands-free calling while I drive, I noticed static, and I could not hear the other person.
On a different occasion I tried listening to music with earphones, and again had static, and at one point I could listen for a few minutes just fine, but since that rare occasion, I haven't had any luck whatsoever. I tried using the dual earphone as well as just the single earpiece, and both just give me static.
Is this an issue with the phone? I purchased an extended warranty from SquareTrade when I bought the phone, so if it is a phone issue, I'm going to try and have them fix or replace.
2nd topic is 3G....for at least the first few weeks of having my phone, I didn't even know that the Behold is a 3G phone. Then one day my girl's service wasn't working (ended up having to replace her very very old SIM card), I had put my SIM into her phone, noticed she had newer icons than me, and on top of that I saw the 3G logo!!! I know for a fact that most places that I am if not all places (work, home, and more) are 3G areas, but why doesn't my phone connect to 3G???
Have any of you heard of these issues before? Or is it just some random misfortune for me?
To be honest at this point I'm a bit disappointed that earphones do not work and my phone doesn't connect to 3G....enough to the point where I wish I had just gotten a Rose myself LOL
If these aren't common issues then I will be getting in touch with SquareTrade to fix or replace. Thanks for any input!
Just my opinion, I ordered mine through T-mobile. But the color of the phone makes no difference, sounds like a defective phone from the seller on e bay. Even if you bought an extended warranty, I would think if you paid through pay pal , you're still covered in some way.
(Depending on the sellers specific details on how the phone was described )
You can try resolving the issue through the seller first, if that goes nowhere you still have other options .
I would have the phone repaired or replaced ,or like I said if you used pay pal see what it covers and the time period you're allotted to file a complaint, and if your complaint fits the requirements for a full refund.
You might be better off getting a full refund and purchasing the phone from another dealer or site.
