no, i am not talking about handbrake, i am talking about software called kingconvert from kingsoft for the behold...i have never heard of handbrake and if the behold public wants a better way to directly put movies on your phone, instead of  utilizing tk explorer or handbrake or any of those complicated software, i just ripped sherlock holmes with kingcovert today in full format for the behold... and my movies are in mbs of little more in the 100 range , not 300...too big of format because the behold doesnt play very well for mp4 format better in 3gp format... and if you want to rip movies or convert them use red box dvd's they dont have the copyright bs...on them good luck!!!

You got me interested! I'm always looking to improve my movie thread. I've tried several programs and ripped movies to 3gp & converted FLVs to MP4... the quality is worse than the way mine are now. In fact, I've never seen a full 3gp movie that comes close to the quality of MP4s (that's not to say it can't be done). Currently, I rip real DVDs to .avi, then convert em' to MP4. The Behold actually plays MP4s extreamly well, just ask everyone that visit my thread. The results are far better than any I've seen around including all 3gp clips. Maybe Kingcovert's 3gp rips are better & worth giving a try cause Handbreak's MP4s are just superb for the Behold, Zune, Blackberry, PSP, etc.; however, some programs' MP4 rips are a bust for the Behold but work great on other consoles. You're right about the smaller file sizes 3gp has. Thanks for the heads up!

*I never use TK explorer... simply set your phone to "Mass Storage" & drop the completed converted movie file into the video folder as easy as using a common flash drive. The only challenge of ripping programs is finding a universal setting. That's why I offer my movie service... I do all the work so you don't have to... & it's free!!!

The best converter program that is a full version, don't ever register it...but it is kingconvert for the behold, and it has so many file types and it will convert for the behold or whatever cell phone you want it is optimized... i use it everyday, i do however want to let you know that the best files to convert are downloaded files off the internet, or dvds without different languages...because if you put in a dvd it might come out multicultural... and make sure you copy off of computer to your memory card reader...not the behold well, you could but it takes a little longer and in addition, it comes out in smaller mbs instead of 300 or more like some files you do....anymore questions about cellphones, ( anything pretaining to cellular...contact me @ kalel1978mh@yahoo.com or text me @ 720/ 771-8719, i have worked with cellphones and i would consider myself a guru on cellphones..!!!!! you can download kingconvert free of charge from google , do the inquiry find the web listing from brothersoft.com then download you will not regret it!!!! have fun

From what I've seen on this king convert software it is only a free trial.  It does  cost money and there are actually free converter programs out there that do the job just as well.  However, I am curious...you promote this software in every one of your posts.  Do you have something to do with it because spamming the board is against the forum rules.

It's cool & I'm gonna check it out superman1978mh but have you noticed you left a responce on the actual movie database? Somehow you overlooked all the text that clearly said not to post in there (for movie links ONLY). You were the only person to post there after months of it's existence... Smh. @ booboo773: Is there a way to erase his post or do I have to start all over?

OMG!!!... I almost feel like crying HARD right now. superman1978mh, that was the most aweful quality I've ever seen. The framerate was waaaaaaaaaay off, so was the aspect ratio... & that muffled sound... Are you serious? I see why that file was only 178MB, you took everything out and it was pixelated as hell. You mean you sat throught that? Are you aware of how long that d@mn movie is? Once again, no quality comes close to mine but I'm still on the hunt for better quality so I can offer only the BEST for people. Dude, 2 words... GET HANDBREAK!!!... & I'll happily show you how to use it. It's free & so far, the best for the Behold.

The post has been removed.  Honestly, I think this guy is promoting his own software.  He has contributed nothing else to this forum except to talk about it. If it continues, I'm going to consider it spamming.

no i am not promoting it.... i am just here to help people find out about  optimizing their cellphone experience by not complicating things....boo boo , because i believe in simplifying things, and if there is anyone out there who may benefit from my knowledge of expertise ...they awesome , i have worked with cellphones and their technology for a half century for all carriers , but t-mobile is the best!!

LMAO @ booboo773!!! You're wild for that one. I need to ask another favor of you. Someone else (another accident) posted on the movie database thread & I need it removed to make way for Wednesday's new page of links. Yeah, it's growing fast... lol. From 200 (took a break) to 350+ this Wednesday. Thanks & I will place on the title not to post there & hopefully people read it or else I have no choice but to shut it down.
