Vibrant w/o data plan? UPDATE: POSSIBLE SOLUTION

Yea sure it's android afterall. As for me, I'd go for that Vibrant or maybe even an HD2 because of their sexy 4.3" touchscreen.

@shae88, craiglist is safe because it is in person. Go to craigslist.com and click on a few links so that you get to a section that is close to your area. Search for what you want and then browse through entries. They give you an email address to contact, and then you make the transfer yourself. No shipping or anything (unless you work that out with the person).

@TeleNubby, I asked a TMo representative about getting a web-based phone without a data plan and she said it was a bad idea because the phones are built to need a data plan. It's like, the phones automatically access the internet to check for updates and email and stuff, features that can't be disabled. So unless you have a data plan, you will be charged extra for web access.
