Here is a brief rundown of t-mobile's project dark. It consists of two new ways to buy phones and service called "Even More" and "Even More Plus." Project Dark also includes new handset launches (android galore including of course the Behold II), and three new "unlimited plans":

- Even More: Buy your phone with a Contract, Discounted Handset Upfront

- Even More Plus: Buy with No Contract, Lowest airtime Rates (slightly cheaper than the Even More rate but no word on price yet), No discount on handset, however, the retail Price of phone may be paid in 20  installments.

- There will be three "unlimited" plans that will be available on the 25th, voice, voice+text, and voice+text+data. The prices have not been confirmed but are rumored to be $40, $50, and $60 respectively.

After October 25th when these plans launch, all existing plans will become grandfathered are no longer available. Yes, MyFaves is gone (no longer available for new customers or new lines of service). All customers with the grandfathered contracted plans will be able to switch to an Even More plan (contract) without an extension of their existing contract or an extra fee. The times where an extra fee is incurred  include: Switching from Even More to Even More plus will require paying a $200 termination fee, so us reps have been told repeatedly to make sure we help customers pick the right plan for them before activating. Switching from a grandfathered plan to Even More Plus will require a $35 fee per line. On Family plans there is no fee for lines 3-5, so the most you’d have to pay is $70. Once on the Even More Plus, you must still carry out the rest of your contract, but you will never be able to switch to Even More and will never  again get a subsidized price on a phone. The reason why someone might want to do this in the first place is because the Even More Plus plan are going to be slightly cheaper than Even More. There is no way to switch from Even More Plus to Even More without canceling all together and getting a new phone number. To re-emphasize: Customers with existing plans will be grandfathered.

Hi Behold,

Thanks for update,  I know you say existing customers will be grandfathered in, but to what. I have been with TMOBILE for 9 years. I currently have Behold with Unlimited Loyalty plan for $49.00 plus 4.99 text plan. Are you saying on the 25th I will be changed in to a new unlimited plan? If so which one, or can I call and just choose one? Thanks in Advance!!

It means your existing plan will be grandfathered in meaning won't change. Everything for you stays the same unless you make a change.

That's correct although i believe in your case you wouldn't have to pay the migration fee but not completely sure about that. $35 would be the most though.

not exactly you can't go no contract until your current contract ends or you will have to pay early termination fee. You can only pay over time for phones if you are already no contract or "even more plus" as its called.

You would have to pay full price and unless you break your contract you will have to pay in full in 4 payments or less. Once your contract ends you will still pay full price but over 20 payments. If you sign a new contract you get the subsidized price but again must pay in 4 or less payments.

*ATTENTION* everyone please keep in mind that all the previously mentioned prices are subject to change. We won't know the final break down of price until the official launch on the 25th. So don't b#tch at me if prices change. The amounts listed above are likely the final prices for the even more plus plan with the contracted plans costing slightly more (yes you read that right contracted plans will cost you more pre month but the headsets are will be hundreds of dollars cheaper), but you never know.

Like i already said if you sign a contract you get the subsidized price on phone, but service will cost more per month so t-mobile can recover some of the money they loose selling you the phone for hundreds less than it costs.
