Okay here is what I want to do, don't know if it's possible or not.

I like to work on cars alot and in the past my phones have paid the price of dropping, getting greasy, or just been beaten up from being in my pocket while working on my car and doing other things like at work.

I still have my old t-mobile samsung phone and I wanted to know if anyone know's if it's possible to have another sim card made so that it stays under the same phone number so that way if I know I'm going to be doing something that might damage my behold, I can just turn it off and grab my old phone and turn that one on without having to change the sim cards everytime I swith phones. I got a new sim card with my behold but never activated it I just took the one out of my old phone and put it in the behold.

Is this something that I would be able to accomplish by myself, or would I have to talk to a service rep and pay money for it, or is it even possible at all. I had thought about adding another line but really I wouldn't use it that much to be worth the $10 a month and it'd be nice to just have the same number for both phones.

This one i'm not sure about.
What i do know is that cloning the sim card (copying all the data and subscriber information from a functioning sim card to a blank one so both sim cards use the same number and it looks like they're the same phone when you use two phones with the two sim cards on the network) is illegal in the US because of some FCC regulations.
Remember in the Bourne movies when Jason Bourne steals someone's phone and plugs that cable in?
That supposedly created a "cloned" phone (in real life, cloning a sim card looks nothing like that).
I'd ask T-Mobile, but I'd expect the answer to be no, unfortunately.

you fone number is directly linked to the number on your sim card.  How they track who's doing what.

Tmo tracks your sim id # and the fones IMEI #.  But the sim id # is most important.

If you have a hookup at tmo you might be able to get 2 sims with one number. but not sure if you can even put it in the computer like that.

I've researched this before actually, I wanted to have two phones for using different things, example behold for parties and stuff, my razr for school.  I found out this is possible, but one phone must be off, 2 sim cards cannot work at the same time, you'll get some sort of communication error.

I think that actually works. I can test it with my phone and my iPhone.... lemme see.
OMGOMGOMG it does! that's like Jetson's-level of cool....
I forwarded the iPhone to my Behold and called it from my Nokia, then I forwarded the Behold to the Nokia and called it from the iPhone....
Yupppppppppp. This works.
I wonder which phone's minutes get used when you pick up a forwarded call though; the phone that's being forwarded or the phone you pick up on?
Cause I could concievably see people buying like a prepaid phone with like 0.65557 minutes on it and just forwarding the number from their main phone to the el-cheapo one?
