Why is everyone complaining about notification sounds?

yup........can't hear nothing with my custom ringtone for text messages.

i set it to 7 and vibration & melody as well!

samsung needs to provide an update to fix that!

hahhaa funny that you say that.  Cause i use bugs for my wake up alarm since its so annoying and loud, i have to wake up and turn it off lol

I actually like the ascending tone for the ringtone, as I would rather catch the call before the ring gets out of hand LOL. I havent noticed if my message tone does this. I have the message tone set to periodic, to remind me in case I miss it the first time.

I think that the problem lies more in the inferior quality of the speaker than the way it plays.  The speaker opening just doesnt do much for me, especially considering how easy it is to cover it up if the phone is in my pocket or in a holster.  I would have liked to have seen side vent speakers or something instead of the single one on the front.

In any case, I dont think that there is much to do about this except keep your eyes on the hacks section for someone to figure out how to remove the ascending ring setting.

I could never use my phone as an alarm clock, Unless i wanted a broken phone.
