If you are complaining about how loud your text message/call ringtone is; your obviously doing something wrong.

settings>sound profiles>(click your current profile)>click the drop-down list on the top right and click on whatever notification you want to modify>turn your alert tone volume to 7>change your message alert type to vibration & melody.

This is really loud enough for me. And i have no problem with it.
If this isnt loud enough for you; get a new phone?
Besides, you didnt really expect to be able to hear your phone from that far away did you?
I'm personally always near my phone; and my notifications are perfect!

--hope i helped anyone?

I tried that, vibe and ring thing, but it still fades in the ringtone. I want my ringtone to START OUT at full volume...anyone know how to do that?

Everyone does complain about the low volume. I find it very loud. I was playing my music while playing XBOX 360. As it was still playing, I walked downstairs to get a drink. I could still hear it loud and clear. I walked back up, turned it down, and realized it was only at 7. 7 out of 14 and I could hear it downstairs still. Just saying, my sound is perfect.

Exactly~ The rings should start out at FULL VOLUME. (You know, like they're suppsed to) Every tone is increasing and shouldnt be no matter if you set the volume to the highest setting (7) or not.

well i've been writing samsung all of the complaints we have here.  You call samsung, you will get a customer code, and you can write them all the time under your customer code. In the update they should fix whatever we keep complaining about.  TMO is also bugging the crap out of Sony, Samsung, and Blackberry bout fixing stuff.

yes i also noticed this. When i set my text message to a custom ringtone the sound is VERY soft no matter what option or volume I put it on compared to the default text tones on the phone. Your ringtone also starts off soft like the increasing ring tone option is on or something..and does anyone know how to turn off the annoying vibration alerts after every 2 mins because of a  missed call or text i received but didn't check? I hope this phone gets an update.

the music player is plenty loud-but thats irrelavent to this topic...

i have a song setup for my ringtone for calls and i can live with that...BUT for text messages (and because im too lazy to chop my own custom ringtone) the stock tones are weak as hell!!!

i dont care what anyone says (i say you work at a library) but for me being a diesel mechanic...obviously im not going to hear it for the most part, but if theres even just a little background noise, its difficult to hear.

vibration alerts help me a lot-especially with the reminder feature because im usually moving a lot at work and dont feel it. but a loud txt alert would help too

I wrote them twice and after I got blown off, I moved on. When GWELLS was posting here, he was pretty adamant about everyone writing and calling. But now since I know that Kwam is bugging them on a regular basis, I feel better.
I think I called them too but I dont know if I have my customer code. Maybe they emailed it to me. I'll have to look.
