Water damage on speaker ONLY

I got my Behold about 2 months ago and I accidentally got some rain water into the speaker of the phone while walking, and now the sound is all messed up. I checked the water damage strip (the square one by the battery) and it's still white, and everything but the speaker works just fine.

Should I ring up T-Mobile and ask if it can still be replaced because it's water damage?

never call in t-mobile and say water got into the phone. just call them up and say for some odd reason my speaker is not functioning correctly. you do have one year warranty on the thing. I know when my speaker went bad on the behold i just gave them a ring and they sent out a new one in 3 days. all they will ask is to open your battery cover and tell them what color your water damage strip is. good luck

yup, if u say "water damage" that's automatically not covered unless you bought the xtra insurance.

Tmo has ways of checking to see if there was water damage. There are strips inside phone that change colors if they've gotten wet not just the one you can see. There was a thread about it on here somewhere.
