I just bought a new "behold" for my wife and I have to move all her phone numbers from the old phone to the new one. I downloaded PC studio 3 v3.2.2 but I got the following message when I tried to sync with my pc:

"Runtime error! Program c:\Program Files\Samsung\Samsung PC studio 3\PC sync.exe This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unsual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information" (I have a Dell Latitude D600 wins xp pro sp3 with MS activesyn 4.5.0, Outlook 2003)

I called the 1-888-987-4357 and jump through several hoops and finally got to a "second level techician". It took him a while to understand the problem but he got it eventually. His answer was "we are aware of the problem with Outlook but we do not have a fix now" He is not very helpful.

Does anyone have a solution? I hope there is a better way than manually entering 360 contacts ?(a total of 700 phone numbers, 360 names, 360 addresses, 500 e-mails plus other bits and pieces)

I went to samsung Hongkong and Korea sites hoping to see if they already have the solution as their phone technology is 1-2 year ahead. To my dismay I found Behold is not sold in Hongkong and Korea site did not address this issue.

To transfer your outlook contacts to the Behold:

1) Save all contact as a .csv file to your desktop
2) log on to my.t-mobile.com select Myservices/mobilelife
3) select add contacts link, then import contacts from another address book
4) browse find the .csv file on your desktop, upload
5) sync with the Behold

The problem with just having your numbers on the sim is that you can only save numbers and limited at that. Using mobilelife ur able to include email, home address, im, bday..etc. I've had to master reset my phone, synced it and it restored all my contact info.

Dear Cashmony,
Thanks for your lead. I followed your direction and got stuck at the step of "add contact link". Sad On my T-mobile page the only available function under "contact" in "mobile-life" is to add contact manually. I cannot find the "add contact link" option. Can you tell me how to find that link? thanks

when you got to mobilelife you should see three sections. myfaves, contacts, album. under "contacts" there should be a link to "add a contact", go there, and you should see a link right at the top that says "import contacts from another address book". Once there browse the desktop for the file. If there is no "add a contact" link in the beginning you'll need to contact customer service to get "mobilelife" activated. let me know how it goes.

Thanks a lot, Cashmony. I really appreciate you taking time to resolve my difficulty. I was able to find those links at the same website but on a different computer. I cannot explain why because they both run on the same OS and browser. The sub-page I got from the "MobileLife" link are different for reason I can't quite understand. (That's topic for another site and another time) In any rate, my job is done, my wife is happy and I have time to watch my favorite game on the TV now. Thanks again for your help. I still hope they can resolve the problem with PC studio 3.
