open up TK
Phone>User>T9udb>xt9cdb.dat
upload that file to your computer and open notepad to edit more words.

::Note: This has not been tested, but seems simple enough::

here are the files i found on Phone>User>T9udb through TK:

xt9cdb.dat
xt9udb.dat
xt9asdb.dat

I transferred all 3 to my laptop and viewed using NotePad and found the following:

- xt9cdb.dat seemed to contain random bits and pieces of different text messages I've sent all jumbled into one big paragraph

- xt9udb.dat seemed to contain the words I manually entered for T9, but it also had weird symbols, letters, numbers, etc such as " P\Ký   ÝN6         üøôðì'è/ä7à?ÜG    n .   e r   r .   i a   L C D   i r   o m   a f   s !   o v   f o   h t   g h t   l o f   e l s   e ?   t ?   h ?   H t‡n      "

- xt9asdb.dat didn't have any words, just weird symbols, letter, numbers, etc such as " (ÊÔ  J&              bÄ &ˆê                          Q Q ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ"

Please note that i have NOT tried to modify any of the files.  I'm just posting what I found...I'm still poking around the phone.

***** UPDATE *****

i tried modifying the xt9udb.dat file by removing some of the T9 words I manually entered, but this didn't do anything.  i copied the file from my phone to laptop, edited file in Note Pad, re-uploaded to my phone, and the words still exist.  i rebooted my phone just in case, but this didn't do anything either.

if you do this, make sure you make a back up copy of the original file to transfer back to the phone in case anything happens.

I figured if you delete all three of the files it should reset, right?

It does, no problems so far for me. Just a hassle cause it resets all the words you set in there. Like all the common swear words and "Wendy's." Small price to pay.

so if you delete the files it puts back the default T9 dictionary and deletes all those messed up words that were accidentally added?
