I am trying to download music from my computer to my phone. I have downloaded the Samsung software needed to do this. However when I hook my usb cord from my phone to computer although the computer icon appears on my screen, my computer says that it cannot detect a mobile device.

I something wrong with the cord. I have been racking my brain for days trying to figure this out...HELP! Cry

you really dont need to use the samsung pogram, they easy way is to set your phone on mass storage mode, then hook the phone up, then go to my computer on ur pc, and open the removable storage icon and open the music folder then all u have to do is copy and paste the music files u want, hope this helps, need anything just pm me.

Just tried that....it doesnt show my device under removable storage. It seems like although the computer icon appears on my phone and my usb cord is connected..they computer is not syncing with it.

What OS are you using and what usb setting is your phone on? What icon appears on your screen?

Another way to send music to your phone is BLUETOOTH. Sometimes, I forget where I placed my USB cord, so I just bluetooth the music file to my phone.

rohan: ya my laptop has bluetooth. Its real simple on my my laptop. On the taskbar theres a bluetooth icon. I just click bluetooth on and then search for devices. But when i get a chance, i'll get on my laptop and let u know how check, if ur comp has bluetooth.   

dfisher627: also another way another way to send urself music when don't have a USB is by emailing it to urself... your email is....

ent. Same way u save pix. If u need to guide u let me know

Rohan:

To check if you pc has bluetooth is by going to CONTROL PANEL. If you don't see the bluetooth icon, then that means you don't have it. :-(
