yes, it's not full screen tho (has the buttons at the bottom) anyway goto the www.mini.opera.com from the phone. click "install a previous version...".

Under other versions, select the 2nd one the (Verisign certificate) and install should work fine.

 Embarrassed I dl opera mini through my phone but it says that it can't connect to the internet?? I have a data plan. I dl 4.2 and 3 no luck but it did run bolt?? help pls, also i did the thing and let tmobile do the settings still no luck!

Did you download it directly from the internet to your phone or use TK to install it?  Some programs will work direct to phone and others you have to install through TK.

yeah, and actually i think if u wanna download apps dat use the internet, u should use tk
so i suggest that u dont dl opera directly from your phone
but to answer your Q, yes it is possible to dl opera directly from your phone
