Memory card or sim card looking icon on main screen

I just got my behold about a hour ago turned it on inserted memory and sim card and I have a icon that looks like either one of those. I removed the memory card the icon went away put it back in and it returned. Called cust. care and they said this is normal if a memory card is installed. Is this true or am I just being bamboozeled? It's kinda annoying looking at it

this has come up on the forums before. It is from the memory card, you just gotta get used to it.

it's a fail safe to make sure that your running apps do not error. If you have an app thats not loading (third party that you have installed) first make sure that the sd card is seated correctly by looking for the icon on the screen.

Sorry to sound cranky but i dropped my phone and scratched it today
but i was doing some research sadly there is no known way of turning it off in most samsung phones
