How to set a custom ringtone as the text message alert (w/out adjusting volume)

I figured out an interesting way to bypass the low leveled notification sound for text message alerts. Instead of setting the custom ringtone as an mp3 within the Sounds/Music folder, record the song/tone using the audio postcard feature within the camera. Be sure to include 3 seconds of dead silence at the beginning of the recording since the volume perpetually escalates into a steady, high volume. The sound byte is saved as an .amr file. Rename the file, so its not overwritten each time you record an audio postcard. Now when selecting the file for your tone, choose the Sounds folder, and then the Voice list folder. Your recording is located in the Voice list folder. Select it, and now your text message alert is at full volume. I know this method isn't practical but it works.
