Hey, MerkurAlex from the Eternity forums here!

I believe the only file we have found out how to edit is the FFS file which you can do using a program called winimage(http://download.cnet.com/WinImage/3000-2646_4-10003117.html) i am unsure of the mods you can do there your on your own.

Smiley Awesome stuff... I started messing around with winimage and finally got to delete some of the ringtones they got in there and some of the demo's...

Question: How do i put that new FFS file into the phone? Do I do a full flash, through the Downloader V5.50 or just click on the name "Differences Only" on the thingy? Can we even do this?

I copied the file to another location and I started to mess with it. Also, thanks for the tutorial, I accidentally "High Debug" my thing and went kaput. So full revival on my phone, thanks Toast!

I tried flashing the phone and went through steps 1-7 but I get an error " Download Start Ch[0] Serial port open error!"  Any help on that?

Sounds like you have a driver error. Download the drivers again.

Make sure you downloaded the phone's drivers from the Samsung website.

Try it on another computer is the only advice I could give you. As you can see, it does work, you are just having a driver/hardware error.

Hi, I'm a newbie also on this site, and in general... It took me about 4 nights of trying to CORRECTLY install the USB drivers for my Behold... I think that some people might need a little more instructions because it took me forever to do it. First off if anyone with more experience knows more than what I am about to post please correct me.

I found that you have to install the drivers from a CD and not just off the file you download from the links... So what I did was download one of the links to a file on my desktop, then with my .rar or .zip extractor program I hit "extract" and browsed to a blank cd in my cd drive (so it would extract there). Then the next time I plugged my Behold in, it did it's thing (attempting to located and install drivers automatically) and when it couldn't, it asks that if you have the cd to insert it now... So I popped out, and back in the cd and voila!... it installed correctly.

Then the next time I ran the Multiloader V5.43 program and hit 'port search', it did it.

Now I have a question of my own... After I followed all the steps in the first post and successfully re-loaded the software and got the phone up and running, I've found that everytime I turn the phone off and back on it goes into the red-lettered boot loader screen again and I have to do this all over again... Anyway of fixing it for permanent? and NOT having to jump through these hoops just because I power-cycle my phone?

Try a full firmware flash rather than a partial flash.

Okay so I did the full firmware flash and it still goes right into bootloader mode after just power-cycling... anyone else got any ideas?
