I doubt it's exactly the same firmware. I would be cautious about it. Be sure to check. Use the Admin code (just look it up on here) and go to software version, and if it doesn't match up, you might end up with a permanent brick, that's not unbrickable. Maybe they were saying that games and apps work, but i doubt this will.

Agreed, I cant wait for Beholdgirl to come through.  I have  been after hax for this phone since I got it almost a year ago...
I did the partial update to my phone (anyone else try it with win7? i had issues with the qualcomm drivers installing, I had to use 7's XP mode to make it work.

Also here are the kinda hard to find qualcomm drivers...

We've tried to change around the firmware of the Eternity, but it never really works. I wouldn't just reflash for the heck of it.

To those owners of the Samsung Memoir - for your firmware go to gsmvn-support.com then click on Samsung - then click on T929UVHL7 - I followed the instructions for reflashing with downloader 5.5 full not partial and my bricked Memoir is working again - thanks to all who contributed to this

Word of caution if you value your telenav program.

If your subcription has run out and you are still using telenav gps application free somehow, well if you flash it it will no longer work for people with an ended subscription

I tried flashing the phone and went through steps 1-7 but I get an error " Download Start Ch[0] Serial port open error!"  Any help on that?
