How to delete recent numbers in the "Recent recipients" field when texting

Please help!! I need help with my Behold phone. I havent used it in a while and now I'm letting a friend use it.
I need to know how to do something. It's important. When you are sending a text message and you type the message and then click "Send" and then you have a list of send to
1 Recent recipeints
2 Phonebook
3 New number

How do you erase the names/numbers already listed in the "Recent contacts" sent to list? Huh
