Every time I have an unread text message or voicemail, the phone beeps and vibrates every few minutes until I check it.  It is unbelievably annoying.  If I press exit or lock the phone, it still will beep and make vibrate.  It forces me to constantly check my voicemails right away to avoid a really annoying constant beep.  How on earth can I get it to stop doing that?!

Press Menu
Settings
Sound Profiles
Normal
Set the combobox in the upper right to Message
Change Message alert repetition to "Once" instead of "Periodic".

This means if you don't hear the alert tone that you'll miss knowing that you have a message until you make the phone's screen turn on.  My phone's default was "Once", but I like the "Periodic" setting better; although I would like to be able to set how often the periodic alert tone/vibrate happens. I think it's a little too frequent.

It is especially annoying when my phone rings when I am sleeping.  I will groggily turn over, make the phone stop ringing, and roll back over and go back to sleep.  But the phone will keep beeping for hours and hours until I am forced to fully wake up, check the missed call, and then it is hard to go back to sleep! Ugh...
