It would be great to have them cover the entire screen not just the cropped area.

well you could try formatting them with something like any video converter ( which there is a link somewhere on forum posted by koreanpeoples) and convert to say 352x288 but that might be bigger than the display is

but the best size for videos if 320x240 it leaves about a pencil width of space on each side of the video

ok and lets us know if 352x288 overflows the screen or if it fits if you do try it

i have tried several formats and the only one I can get to work is the standard 320x240.
All the others I have tried say they are unsupported format.

been testing this for a hot second, and it seems using vio, or medicacoder, 320x200 seems to fill the whole screen and run smoothly at 15fps.

ALRIGHT FOLKS!!!
FIRST OF ALL THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED ME AND RESPONDED TO THIS POST.  SECONDLY, 320 X 200 SEEMS TO BE AN IDEAL SETTING.  IT DIDN'T COVER THE WHOLE SCREEN BUT ITS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THE 320 X 240 SETTING!!!  IT ALMOST ELIMINATES ANY BLACK BARS ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT OF THE IMAGE.  NO CHANGE ON THE TOP & BOTTOM BARS!!!
THANKS AGAIN AND ANY OTHER INFO TO ENHANCE OUR VIDEO VIEWING ON THE PHONE WOULD BE AWESOME!

320x200 when zoomed all but covers the entire screen its close enough to call it full screen
