Hey guys. Just got my behold about a week ago and it's great. No problems with it so far. Just recently went out of town and I'm where I'm staying my phone has about 3 bars but continually says "searching". I believe that's the 3G searching for an internet source or something of that but it won't allow me to text or call anyone. Can someone tell me how to fix this or explain to me how even though my phone has bars I don't have a signal or can't call or text?

Thanks.

No I have not called T Mobile. I do understand how roaming works. Basically if you look in the top left hand corner of your phone you have the symbol that represents "bars" or your signal strength. I have 3 bars but my phone still says "searching" while it says searching it wont allow me to call or text? Almost like I don't have a signal. I don't understand it.

Sounds like you need to call tmo too me. Not sure but sounds like you might have a bad phone and need a new one. You should have no prob. switching it out if you go to a tmo store, as long as its not past the first 14 days of having the phone. I wouldstill callthem.

Maybe they are having trouble with a tower or something in that area.

I dont know for sure but dont see why not. I would still try to call tmo and see if there is an outage in the area like booboo had advised.
