Making games work in landscape...

...okay, if there's a topic on this already i couldn't find it despit my recent searches, so I'm gonna ask, and if there is already a topic out there on it, then let me know and you can delete this...

...I downloaded and installed a coupla games on my phone (Avatar, for example), and when I start it up it tells me that "the game will only work" or "the game works better" in landscape mode. So i turn my phone 90 degrees, and it does nothing. i try starting it up with the phone turned and nothing. I've edited the darned jad files a million ways to Sunday and I can't get them to play landscape.

Anyone wanna show this bumbler how to make sure the game(s) I'm trying to play load properly in landscape mode?
