I know that most other phones have a strip that will let you know if water was spilled on it. Does the Behold have one? I see a little strip with purple X's on the battery and I'm not sure If that means there was. My phone wont turn on anymore and I'm not sure if I can send it back since I think something spilled on it. Thanks in advanced.

I haven't heard of this, but it does makes sense because the manufacturer needs to quickly see what's going on for troubleshooting.

The strip should be white.  If you're talking about the one on the side where the contact pins are on the battery.
There is most certainly one on the inside of the phone also.  Some phones have them right under the battery where
you can see it on the phone.  They have apparently just put the hidden one inside...maybe more than one too.  You
may be lucky and have only got the battery one wet.  Maybe just try another battery from another Behold.  Try the
T-mobile store if you don't know anybody with the Behold.   If it's just the battery then you're in the clear, if it's the one
inside and the phone is dead then it becomes an expensive paper weight.  While were on the subject I'd also like to
know if putting a piece of tape over that strip helps.

My friend has a samsung too and the X's on his battery are all smeared. So I'm not sure if those ones are always there or not? I can see a little white strip on the inside by the contact and that one doesn't have any. So the strip on your battery is completely white?

Oh I missed the little square one by the contacts on the phone.  So it does have
one visible on the outside of the phone.  That one is white like the battery one.

There is only two, I put a wax coating on the two to protect them from water. About a month later dropped it in a pool. Over the phone they told me to check the two water mark stripes, they were good (because of the wax). they said if they found any customer abuse damage( i.e. water damage) I would have to pay 250 for another phone. I got my new phone with no charge. - _ >
