Hi,
I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this problem. I did the handset upgrade online with Customer Care. When I received my Behold, I followed the rebate instructions to letter. I even cut out the side of the box that had all of the UPC information on it and mailed it in. I made sure all of the information required was included. Anyway, I got a letter from T-mobile stating they could not process my rebate because it did not contain the proper UPC/SK code. Well, this is the exact same thing that happened when I upgraded to my Razr V-3T. I got the letter, but I decided not to bother with it and never called about it. This time I did call (fortunately I made copies of everything I sent them), and they told me yes, the code was included but due to technical difficulties were not able to process it because the machine was down or some crap like that. After that long, drawn out conversation, the CC rep told me should would resubmit my inofrmation directly to her supervisor and I should get the rebate within 30 days. She assured me that I didn't have to resubmit or take any further action. But I did cover my butt and got all of her information as well. So we'll see if the rebate comes. Now I don't know if they do this with everyone because they don't think we will pursue the matter, which in turn will allow them to save money by not sending rebates out or what. But I'd be curious to know if this is only happening with me.

Yup, same happened with my Samsung Blast.

And if you think about it, they just want extra money. For example, in my situation I had gotten unlimited texts for the first month because they told me I needed it to receive the rebate. Okay, I did that. Whatever...

Then...

I waited for my rebate for two full months, and they told me not to downgrade my texting plan or else it would void the rebate. Okay fine, I'm pissed but I'll keep the plan for another extra month.

But...

I actually ended the plan after the third month! I ended up paying about $30 more than I had to! T-Mobile is a big scam.  Angry

Well folks here's the latest on my rebate; DENIED!
Once again T-Mobile has screwed me without kissing me first. I called for a status and was told I needed the data plan to qualify for the rebate. When I "initially" submitted for the rebate, I did have the data plan. I cancelled the plan because I was not impressed with it. See, this is what I am saying about these folks. They are low-down and dirty and I am mad as hell. I told ya'll they gave me some bs about not having the UPC code (which was submitted by the way). After that fiasco on the CC rep told me she wouuld resubmit. Now she already knew I cancelled the data plan. So my thing is why didn't she tell me that in order to get the rebate, I'll need to add the data plan back on! So here I am back at jump street. You know what, it's a measly $50 rebate and money isn't the issue. It's about getting screwed again. So I am starting to rethink this whole relationship with Tmo. Anyway I just wanted to get this off my chest.
Happy New Year Everyone.

You're right. It's the principle. Maybe dragonstalker can give you the number to some folks at TMobile who can help...
