I wanted to start this thread because me, like many people have complained of random resets of their handset.
 
I initially had the first generation Behold, the one with the kinda cartoonish icons.  I began to get random resets of my handset. Seeing that there was a newer version out with 3D icons, I called TMo to receive one. I later learned that even these devices did the random resetting business. Soon thereafter, I began to get the said resets on my replacement second generation model.

Because I had been involved with discussions in a few threads that this topic came up in, I decided to start a specific thread. Not to reinvent the wheel, but hopefully, sometime in the future when more is known about this device, there may be a fix that someone would post here for other Beholders. Thus I am hoping that my thread will become a tool to update people on what's being done about the random resets, and if a fix surfaces that it'll be posted here so others can quickly access it.

true that i also spent 200 dollars for this fone and it resets....

i really dont want to get a REFURBISHED one..
tmo can b such piss offs its the fones fault no excuse me its your fault for these resets y should i get a refurbished one.....

what do you think should i bcz i called them did the master reset and they said that if it breaks again then i can qualify for a REFURBISHED BEHOLD

what do yall think???

Aaron, I just received my replacement handset about a month or so ago, and it was a new one. It even still had the screen protection on it. I actually think that they are moving towards the refurbished handsets because of so many problems with this device.
I just hope that something is found out about this problem and we can get a fix. I had a reset going through my phone book! Now that ain't good.  Angry

thats bogus! man samsung sucks! im still on my 1st gen handset (knock on wood) but if it starts raisin hell im gonna try and talk them into givin me a blk berry.. the G1's not back i jus dun like the keyboard i want a full touch screen.. but since there is a new app for the text (forget what its called) i might lean towards the bad boy.. but i be d@$n if i pay 200 for it tho.. cuz i used my "upgrade" for this phone

That it resets, I did a restore, and I want a new phone. Pretty straight forward.

Actually, they sent me a new battery first, but BEFORE I got it, after the restore, it started again, so I called them and demanded a new phone.

It's a documented problem.

So do you think that if i was to call in and tell them what you told them i'd get a new one automatically or they would send me a battery as in your case?? Its prolly just depending on the person.

i have one of the first gen beholds and i think it might have randomly turned off once, cant remember it was along time ago. the only consistent problem i have with it is sometimes during a call ill hit the end button and it wont work. but if i touch something on the screen it will respond normally after that, so its annoying but hardly something i'd get rid of the phone for. shrug i dig the phone it does what i want it to

hmmm thats weird I have had 2 beholds (the first gen and the second) and have had no problems with the reset situation EVER. I have had this phone since feb.

hmmm thats weird I have had 2 beholds (the first gen and the second) and have had no problems with the reset situation EVER. I have had this phone since feb.

The key word there is RANDOM meaning not all the time.

Hey beholdcee was it easy to tell them that you wanted a new one or what did they tell you??!

Honestly when I first told them they opted to send me a new battery.  But before it came I got the resets againso I demanded a new phone which they replaced and did not charge me the shipping fee.
