my screen is frozen.....

i searched to no avail on this...my phone screen froze one day.  I can turn it on/off, and if it is on, it will ring for incoming calls but no matter where i touch the screen it wont let me do anything.  When i was able to, i calibrated the screen many times.  It got worse since then, and now i cant even get into anything.  No menu, settings, etc.  So basically, i cant hard boot it or flash boot it or anything.  I can power on and hold down the volume button and get the boot screen, but cant select anything.  Im about ready to throw it away lol.....I already upgraded and switched carriers, but it would be nice to get this one working just to have.  I really liked it.  Any info/help would be great.  Thanks! 

i tried all that on/off stuff, and removing the battery.  heck, its been off for about a month now and i still cant get it to do anything.  its frustrating, i really liked the phone it was super easy to work with.
