I went into the Admin Settings > Internals > Storage Settings and out of curiosity, hit "4 Create all records." The "updating" popup came up and stayed there at least a couple minutes. I thought it froze so I took the battery out. I turned it back on, hit messaging, and a popup saying "Initializing..." came up, then returned to the main screen. Tried it again, no luck. Went to messaging from the menu, still nothing. I was thinking "oh god, what have I done?!" Then all of a sudden my messaging opens up, and I see my inbox is full of text messages, and my phone book is full of entries, and I mean FULL. I'm not going to count how many, but I'm sure there are hundreds of entries, each one with the same name. Not exactly the same, but each one is like this:

@ Name####

@ Being a random letter
# being a random number

And all the text messages are from these contacts.

The contacts all have the same info:

Mobile number: 010-333-####
Home number: 1-234-567-8901234567890123456####
Work number: +490101234####
Other number: 031-301-####

Birthday: Dec. 25, 1993
Address: first Additional information#### first Street#### first City#### first State and Province#### 1111111111#### first Country####
Notes: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ####

All the #'s throughout the contact info correspond with the #'s in the name.

And I'm guessing there's one text message from every contact. Each one says the same thing.

Now I'm sure this all means nothing and I'm sure someone's gonna tell me I'm dumb for posting this because it all means nothing, but I wanted to share because I thought it was interesting. So yes.

lol - I did that too - have no idea what/why Samsung has this "function", but it sure filled the phone up with junk.

There are several places you need to clean out, like emails, text messages, contacts, etc.  I think you can select all, then unselect the real messages, contacts, etc., which is much easier then going though the whole list.  I believe there are 400 records added in each category.

Just be glad you did not also mess with the test mode settings - someone bricked a Behold doing that,

Good idea.

I stumbled into it when I was trying to find a way to get POP3 email working after using the setup wizard and going ino the internals to implement it (of couse that does not work), so others my stumble into it along the same path.

I'm not sure exactly why you're asking as this topic is over a year old, but no it doesn't cost money when you hit the create all records button.  It just causes a huge hassle.
