I live right outside Kansas City, Kansas. I am seriously considering buying the Behold. There is no 3G coverage area in Kansas yet. I am in an EDGE coverage area, however. But I read somewhere that the Behold can't use wi-fi. If I buy the Behold, will I still be able to get on websites like facebook, espn stuff like that?? I'm not really looking to do major web-surfing on my phone..

The 3g icon will only be on the phone if you are in a 3g area and tmo hasnt got it up and running every where yet.

How far outside KCK are you? because I have used my Behold in KCK, Shawnee, Overland Park, and Olathe with really fast 3G speeds. The EGDE network is quite a bit slower, but it still works almost everywhere else.

Even with edge, or 3g, your browsing will still be limited, and no you cannot go on facebook, on facebook mobile.  Many sites try to load, then give a message "site is too large to display" or some variant of that.  This is an excellent phone, but nothing more. If you want a good browser, get an iphone or g1.
