wat do u people want? its jus a phone not a pc

so i have a 8GB card and according to the memory status on the phone it says i used 6GB and have 250mb lefts.  wheres the rest of it?

some of it, say bout 500mb min, is 'missing' from when you formatted, the rest is prolly used the phone just isnt giving an exact amount is my guess

^^so gotta do a reformat to get it back? if so is it better to format using the computer or phone?

no that space is taken up by the format info, you cant get it back

damn thats messed up i automatically lose a GB of space...

All memory is stated as before format. There has to be info on a drive to make it usable. For example my 250GB hard drive is actually 233 usable GB's.
