Just got this phone - read the prior post related to my topic - I find NO sports mode, but I need to be able to take pictures WHEN I push the button, not 5 seconds later.  What are the best combination of settings to make this happen?  I've never had any phone nor real camera take this long to take a picture...  I've tried every combination of settings, but I must be missing something.  Any tips or hints would really help.  Thanks!

Click Cam button on side of fone.
 Setup on bottom left corner.
Click Scene and choose sports (running image)

There you go.

ya but if there's no object to focus on, it makes it all blurry

macro is meant for close up photography where it makes only the subject clear and everything else blurry

Sports mode seems to work the best for me as well.

So Sports Mode is the best way to take pictures? I'm getting really disappointed with the picture quality that comes out of this phone (especially inside).
My pictures are always blurry, and sometimes have a blueish tint.
Any other advice besides not looking at Smurf porn?

Set your anti shake, and make sure that you are in the right mode for what you are doing.  I shot a play (7 yr old daughter) in sports mode and had nice pics.  Then shot my (11 yr old daughter) Band recital in zoom from the back of the room and got great pics.  remember, that the fone has auto focus, so if you always depress the button all the way, its gonna take the picture in the middle of focusing.

i tried the sports mode last night... it still seemed blurry. perhaps i have parkinsons?
also, how do you use the flash with sports mode? the flash settings are greyed out and you can't change them...
in terms of pressing the button down with the flash, which way do you recommend?
i know i shouldn't just HOLD down the button....

pressing the button 1/2 way down prefocuses the the lens, this does speed up how fast the camera snaps the shot. in my opinion the the flash sucks so I don't use it auto flash makes everyone have bright white eyes. take white balance off auto, set it to 100 lets in more light. when using artificial light set it to incandecent. use as much lighting as possible for best pics
