I just got my phone, but no doubt next time - part of my purchase decision will be based on if there is a forum similar to this one or not.

To be honest, you should (the owner of this chan of forums) should merge the user database (I know how SMF is setup, I mean ONLY the user database) together and from there on read from one user database for each forum. This way, topics etc. will remain unique and seperate to each forum, while users won't have to register multiple times and will be able to use one account for all forums linked.

i like that idea but it poses some issues about moderation
