There is a built in application for viewing doc files, pdf's, and txt files.  There are a few threads here about it.

There is also a notes program that I posted about, and a Excel program that someone else posted.

I'm going to do more looking soon, but you should check out the ones that are posted first.

Plz lemme know if ne1 finds some word processing type software for the behold. I used to have an unlocked Palm Treo and used a great prog- Docs to Go- really useful for school and work, commuting etc.

Thanks in advance.

That is what I hoping for. With my previous phone, I had Documents to Go which allowed me to create Word Power Point and Excel Docs right on my handheld, then sync for printing etc with my notebook.

Hopefully Samsung and TMobile will allow this type of software to get out there; my fingers are crossed.

You are right - have it on a Blackberry Pearl (small screen of course) - would be much better on Behold/Memoir.  I don't think Tmo will make something like this available, as they are focused on the non-business not-smart phone users.

If the Docs-to-go people would come up with a jave JAR file however....

Trust me, if I knew how to change file formats, I would try to recode Docs To Go to a .jar and .jad file. Now that would be hot!

True. I do have an app called mininotes that I plan to use for Word-type docs, then I will sync and cut and paste.

Hey Sis,
The phone has a word and pdf doc reader built in. Unfortunately, there is no editor, so we can not say create word docs. There is a program called microcalc that is like excel. Also, mininotes is program that could be used to jot text, but that is limited.

I just recently downloaded MyNotes from getjar, its kind of like mini-notes but with a higher character limit (~1817) as opposed to mini notes (1024). It also has more features than mini notes (better menu system and such). Been serving me well so far until eventually someone comes out with something better
