I've tried everything.  I've tried converting AVI and MP4 and WMV and everything else.  Nothing works.  It makes it look like it is doing something and then it says FAILED.  What could I be doing wrong?

yea, i used it. it works super quick and very easy. my brother told me about it. then heard it again for ds.

hmm ive been using formatfactory and it has never failed.  try reinstalling it.

I just recently started to format vids for my phone as I have an 1.5 commute to and from work, so it gives me something else to do on the train, and I use FormatFactory.
Initially, I was having problems, but I found that trying to create from the first tab:
"Video" and selecting "All to Mobile Device" was the wrong option.
Instead, what I was supposed to do was to create from fourth tab:
"ROM Devices..." and select "DVD to Video File." Only then was I able to convert.
